Christmas Card Workshop

It is that time of the year again! Here is an opportunity to come and make some cards for the Holidays. There is nothing like getting a handmade card.

Class is on December 8th at 10am-noon. We will be making 6 cards for $10, that's cheaper then Hallmark Cards and they are handmade!

Mom and Me Christmas card class

Here is an opportunity to spend some quality time with your child to make some Christmas Cards and you might learn something new too!

During this workshop your child will  be making three Christmas cards. As an added bonus if you sign up by December 1st you will also get a bonus snowman gift tag to make-so sign up today! The cost of this workshop is $5. Your child will learn how to properly stamp, learn how to distress, learn about fun flock, assembling a card and gluing.

Halloween decorations, projects and goodies

So now as we move into fall and Thanksgiving I thought as I am taking down my Halloween decorations I would share what I created for the holiday.

Here is what I did with my mantel this year. This looks much better in person!!

I used Close to my Heart creative blocks and paper to make these blocks. They turned out pretty cool!

In this photo you can sort of see how the bats look like they are coming (flying)  off the wall.

This was the back. oops the spider fell off the web. Glue!! I need GLUE!

The kids and I like to make goodies together for the family so here is what we gave away this year.

October Workshop-Halloween!

So Halloween is always a fun time of the year but also a busy time. I finally am getting my posting up with my Workshop projects. Hopefully I will be able to get my other postings up so you can see what else I have been working on.

The technique that we will be covering in this workshop is embossing, this is a great way to try it out and see how cool it is!

We will be making coffin boxes. These are really cool treat boxes to give out and pretty simple to make. I will be making the black coffins and filling them with chocolate for the kids to give to their teachers. Below you can see the skeleton inside.

Here is the layout that we will be working on, I have some great ideas for pictures for this layout but I haven't taken the pictures yet so I can't make this layout look dazzling since I don't have the photos yet. We will be doing embossing on this as well. Here are some additional photos to see closer up.

Tried to add the info here to show photo placement. The orange column on the right is for journalling. 

I embossed the letters with spider web stamp. It is hard to see in this photo but it created a really cool texture.

These items were  embossed as well.

September Workshop

Here are the layouts that we will be doing for the September workshop. I know some of you have been waiting for me to some layouts so I have created a workshop to make three.

This layout is missing the embellishments. Unfortunately, they didn't come in time. If you would like an idea of how it will end up looking. Check out Avonlea in the catalog and you will see the layout there, I will make it slightly different, but you will get the idea. This was a requested layout. I will post the layout when I get the embellishments on it. I will have it done for the workshop.

Here is a close-up of some of the elements. This layout has minimal stamping. I have stamped the corner to add texture.

I thought this layout turned out cute. Looks much cuter in person.

Here is a close-up of one of the cupcakes. I stamped the cupcake wrapper and the flowers. I used the liquid appliqué to puff up the icing on the cupcake. It is a little hard to see in the photo.

June Workshop

Had lots of things going on at home this past month so I am sorry about the delay in getting this workshop up and running. For this workshop I am doing a card workshop. I have had a couple requests for a workshop of all occasion cards so this is a mix of cards for those of you trying to fill your stash of handmade cards. At the workshop you will be able to change any sentiments as you see fit. (note: I will be doing layouts in August! Cute layouts perfect for your summer photos!)

This workshop will be held on Saturday, June 30 at 1pm. It will consist of 10 cards in a kit. There are several stamps that are being used in this workshop so you will need to attend this workshop to complete the projects. Here are pictures of what you will be making!
